City Government to deal strictly with traffic violators

While taking notice of the parking of push carts in big numbers at Nagan Chowrangi Flyover and adjoining roads he also directed town administration to take action against this as these are creating hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic.

The meeting also expressed concern over the wrong use of U turns at signal free corridor-II and other newly constructed roads by motorists mainly bike riders and it was decided to take strict action against the violators including imposition of heavy fines and vehicle seize.

Nazim Karachi on this occasion directed community policing department to immediately coordinate with the DIG Traffic for posting of a traffic sergeant at all U turns who will be helped by community police. He observed that the wrong use of these U turns especially at signal free corridors could lead to serious accidents due to fast paced traffic and therefore the motorists and bike riders should take extra care while taking such U turns.
