City Government to deal strictly with traffic violators

The meeting which was attended by the representative of Chairman KW&SB and MPA Muhammad Moin Khan, EDO W&S, Parks and Community Development, top police officers, representatives and consultants of projects of SFC-II also decided to complete the remaining work including beautification and greenery at the corridor-II ahead of its inauguration next week.

Action against cutting of roads, footpaths and green belts.

Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal has expressed acute displeasure at the complaints of cutting of newly constructed roads, footpaths and green belts in Karachi and directed to lodge FIRs against all those persons found responsible for cutting of roads and footpaths.

He also directed community police to check such activities especially at night hours.

Nazim Karachi further said that the utility service providers should coordinate with the city government as it has already made arrangements for this purpose.

Meanwhile on the directives of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal the land department and community policing team held a person namely Muhammad Iqbal on the night intervening Saturday and Sunday for cutting a footpath in front of the Urdu University in Gulshan Town. The accused was then sent to jail after registration of FIR at Aziz Bhatti Police Station.

In another such incident the staff of the city district government Karachi caught the secretary of the Association of Suriya Apartment at Old Subzimandi on account of illegal cutting of

University Road and footpath. The FIR was lodged at the New Town Police Station.
