Firemen record statements before April 9 Tribunal

Ten people were killed, of them six lawyers burnt to death in arson attack at Tahir Plaza on MA Jinnah Road, around 50 vehicles set ablaze, public and private property damaged. Two groups of lawyers had clashed outside City Court that sparked widespread violence in city on that day.

Assistant Advocate General Sarwar Ahmed Khan and SSP Niaz Khoso, who is liasing court, were present.

City Chief Fire Officer Karachi Ehteshamuddin and four Station Fire Officers of Saddar, Bolton Market, Central and Lyari appeared recorded their statements.

Senior Medico Legal Officer of Civil Hospital Karachi Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Chandio, four MLOs CHK Dr. Farida, Dr. Asif Farooq, Dr. Nisar Ali Shah and MLO Abbasi Shaheed Hospital Dr. Sajid Ali also recorded their statements.
