Meanwhile, Karachi Bar Association (KBA) also held a general body meeting at Shuhda-i-Punjab Hall of the City Courts under the chair of its President Mehmoodul Hassan.

Addressing the meeting Mehmoodul Hassin announced to impose ban on Federal Law Minister Farooq Naek’s entry in the bar room and said the minister has also been the part of conspiracy against lawyers’ movement. He criticised those judges, who agreed to be restored, saying that if any judge accept such offer from the government, so he would deceive his community.

He lauded the deposed judges including CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry for sacrificing their jobs in order to protect the constitution.  

Earlier, the lawyers of City and Malir District Courts observed complete boycott of legal proceedings and staged protest agitations.

They were carrying placards and banners and chanting slogans against the government. On the occasion, two lawyers Advocate Karamatullah and Advocate Rizwanullah Tarar observed token hunger strike.

Later, the lawyers staged a protest rally and blocked the M A Jinnah Road for several hours. Members of Malir District Bar also took out a rally and blocked the National Super Highway for several hours but afterwards dispersed peacefully.
