Two killed in ambush outside Central Jail
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER June 7, 2008 KARACHI - Two men including a policeman were shot dead on Saturday while another was injured outside of Karachi Central Jail (KCJ) within the jurisdiction of Jamshed Quarter police station. The unknown assailants managed to escape from the sport, said police.
Providing the detail of the incident, SHO Jamshed Quarters police station Fawad Akhwan told the media-men that some unknown assailants intercepted the victims near PIB Colony Mor and opened fire on them, which resulted in the death of two persons including, Mohammad Ali Memon 35, and Head Constable, Bilal Hussain 40, while one of their associates Aga Jalal 35, received bullets injuries.
The injured rushed to Liaquat National Hospital, where his condition was said to be 'very critical'.
He said that the motive behind the murders was old enmity; the assailants targeted Mohammad Ali Memon, who died on arrival and his friend Head Constable, Bilal Hussain 40 died on the spot.
