87 fall prey to target-killing in nine months
By Zamir Sheikh October 7, 2008 KARACHI- As Many as 87 persons affiliated with religious or political parties were murdered in target killings in Sindh province during the period between March-September this year. 81 of these murders occurred in Karachi.
According to reports prepared by the sensitive agencies in the period between March 1 and September 30, 2008, some 14 persons belonging to PPP, 30 of MQM, one of PML (N), one of PML (Q) 13 of MQM (Haqiqi), 9 of Sunni Tehreek, 3 of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), one Shaheed Bhutto, 4 Jamaat-e-Islami, 2 of Deoband sect, 4 Shia sect, one Pakistan Jamhoori Watan Party (PJWP) and 4 of ANP lost lives in these target killings.
