87 fall prey to target-killing in nine months

Prominent among those who were murdered in target killings included Tariq Khan, vice president PML (N) Sindh who was gunned down by unknown assailants on 23rd of May 2008 near Medicare Hospital, in the jurisdiction of Ferozabad Police and Khalid Shahansha, PPP leader and an eye witness in Benazir Bhutto murder case was shot dead on 22nd of July by unidentified persons in front of his house in Defence Phase VII.

However, not a single perpetrator of the crime was brought to book in both of these murders till date.

In Hyderabad Region, five persons were made target by unknown assailants, of which 3 belonged to PPP, one of Sindh Peoples Students Federation (SPSF) and one of JSQM.
