Larkana, Multan projects to top CDWP agenda

KARACHI - The development projects relating to Larkana and Multan will dominate the agenda of the upcoming CDWP meeting, The Nation learnt on Tuesday.

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) would take up 60 projects involving Rs65.467 billion expenditures on 11th of this month, official told The Nation.

The agenda of the meeting showed that the major projects belonged to the home district of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Larkana and Multan, the hometown of Prime Minster Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani. Salman Farooqi Deputy Chairman Planning Commission will chair the meeting which scheduled to be held on October 11, 2008 in Islamabad. The agenda of the meeting available with The Nation unveiled that at least 13 development projects of Larkana, the home district of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto involving estimated cost of over Rs5b to be discussed by the CDWP.
