Larkana, Multan projects to top CDWP agenda
By RAMZAN CHANDIO October 7, 2008 According to the agenda of the meeting, the CDWP will take up a project namely “Establishment of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University at Larkana. The provincial government of Sindh had already approved the project while federal government will approve financial assistance for university. Two projects of Larkana district namely “Rehabilitation of the Ratodero-Naudero road including 2 kms internal roads (18 km) involving cost of Rs622.623m and Rehabilitation of the Larkana-Kambar road with estimated cost of Rs619.234m would also be taken up by CDWP. Another project for home constituency of Benazir Bhutto is “construction of federation house in district Larkana” with estimated cost of Rs132.510m also to be discussed in scheduled meeting of CDWP.
Other projects such as rough cost estimate for rehabilitation/widening of internal roads of Talka Shahdadkot town which was electoral constituency of Benazir Bhutto involving cost of Rs423.594m, rehabilitation/widening of internal roads in district Kambar Shahdadkot with estimate cost of Rs364.878m and rehabilitation/widening of internal roads with Asphalt concrete including storm water drains and pedestrian paths in Larkana city with estimate cost of Rs301.750m.
The projects of Larkana district belonged to Transport and Communication sector and majority of the projects are relating to the establishment of roads in Larkana, Naudero and other cities of electoral constituency of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Meanwhile, Multan which is the home district of PM Gillani will also dominate the second position in CDWP agenda of projects.
