Preaching thru cell phones in full swing

Conversely, mobile phone users have started using Islamic ring tones and wallpapers during Ramazan. It is witnessed that the Karachiites have been downloading and exchanging various Quranic verses, Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) and other religious sayings with their friends via Bluetooth, infrared, and from the mobile phone outlets to get the desired things. “I have downloaded Surrah-e-Rehman and Surrah-e-Yaseen, Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) and various Qawalis to my mobile phone to get the blessings of Ramazan, said Faraz Ahmed, a govt teacher.

He said that he would share these religious sayings with his friends and family persons because all of them would not had enough money to do this.

Through this we would keep in touch with the religious teachings especially during the holy month.

Khurram Hassan, the owner of a mobile phone outlet, said that many people especially the youths were visiting various shops and had download the items related with the religion including Quranic verses, naats, qawalis and Islamic wallpapers.

He said that their business was not effected during the Ramazan because the downloading of Islamic tones, verses, naats and qawalis are in full pace and in last week of this month, the sales and purchase of mobile phones would be increased.
