Khawaja Moeen paid tributes

KARACHI - Khanaqah-i-Ilahia arranged a gathering titled ‘Bazm-i-Khawaja’ to pay tribute to the legend personality of Khawaja Ajmer Sharif of the Indian sub-continent.
The event was held in YMCA grounds, the other day and set was the replica of the Shrine of Khawaja Moeen-uddin Chishti. The decorative tomb, pigeons and the mass exodus of people all lit up the area of the ground, that soon dissolved to be non-existent element in the great background.
The present Sajjada Nasheen of Ajmer Sharif, Sarwar Chishti had come from India in order to attend the festivities of the spiritual ceremony.
Sarwar Chishti prayed for the well-being of humanity and prosperity of Pakistan. He even pinpointed to the fact that there should be prevailed good relations between India and Pakistan for progress and prosperity of the people of both countries.
The glowing tribute was paid to the philosophical linings of the mystic, his teachings for love for humanity.
Mahmood Ghaznavi, the chairman of the Mass Communication Department highlighted the main aspects of the great mystic’s life and said that Khawaja was recognised figure in the history of Sufism and Islam. He added that he stood as a towering personality and spiritual leader as well as a reformer, who practiced the Quran and Sunnah in real sense. His teachings were based on godliness, truthfulness and equality which enlightened the hearts of many.
He not only moulded the character of a people, but also led them to a more prosperous, nobler way of living, and cultivated in them the qualities of humanity and truth. Through him and his immediate successors, the entire culture and civilization of India underwent a profound change.
