Fish transporters and traders call off strike
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER October 8, 2008 By the protest, they refuse to supply the fish trash from Tuesday when the traffic police asked them to shift their items day times due to spreading of stinky of the fish trash.
The transporters were instructed by the traffic police to carry such items during night from 1.00 am to 6.00 am, as and avoid traveling in the daytime as it created problems for the people. At this, the transporters approached the FCS authority management to resolve the matter, but at the negligence of concerned authority, they staged protest. The traders refused to transport the fish from the harbor until their demand was fulfilled and threatened to create more problems for the boat owners and fishermen, who used to catch.
