SHC notice to Secy on non-compliance with court order

Bail granted

Justice Khilji Arif Hussain of Sindh High Court Tuesday granted pre-arrest bail to a businessman in fraud case.

Petitioner Quaid Shah’s counsel submitted he had issued Rs 300,000 cheque for payment to another party, which was dishonoured. The respondent party lodged FIR No. 237/2008 US 489-F, 420PPC at PS Kharadar, Karachi, against Shah.

Sindh High Court Tuesday directed Executive District Officer Transport Karachi to appear before court in person to inform what measures were taken for removal of illegal bus terminals from city limits.

The direction came on identical petition filed by Karachi Citizens Rights Protection Association KCRPA, who moved SHC against City Nazim Karachi, DCO Karachi, EDO Transport & Communication, Secretaries of Regional Transport Authority, Sindh Transport & Communication Department and DIG Traffic.
