Two blazes burn 3 minors to death

Karachi - Two incidents of fire Friday gutted scores of shanties, claimed three children’s lives in two separate areas of City.
The first incident took place at a plot near Rabia City, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-12 where two-year-old Sahla Naeem was burnt alive.
The fire left another minor three-year-old girl Azima wounded and was taken to a hospital. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
The fire gutted almost 35 shanties and it took three fire tenders to extinguish the fire after efforts of some three hours.
The second fire erupted at Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-16 at an empty railway plot where two years old Mohsin and two years old Misbha were burnt alive while some three shanties were gutted.
Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire after two hours struggle.
There too, the cause of the fire could not be found. The critically burnt kids were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.
An official of fire brigade department said that five fire tenders were sent to the scene of inferno at Gulistan-e-Jauhar while two were dispatched to the Railway Plot in Block 16.
