NGO to organise summer camps for CDGK-run schools

KARACHI - During the summer vacations in 2008, International Education and Resource Network (IEARN) Pakistan, in collaboration with Committee for Monitoring and Improvement of Schools (CMIS), will provide teaching assistance to the students of CDGK-run schools through participation in summer camps to be held at different schools of nine towns, The Nation has learnt on Tuesday.

The summer camps for the students enrolled in the Pilot Project schools of CDGK and developed by CMIS would comprise around 1,000 students.

The summer vacation camps will be held from tomorrow up to 29th June at these schools. The students will attend different courses for 3 weeks focusing on Basic English Language Proficiency, Animations and Media and Basic Computer Applications, said Ms Farah Kamal, the country coordinator IEARN Pakistan.
