Political rivalry claims 5 lives

KARACHI - Political rivalry has claimed five lives within 24 hours.

According to details, two workers of Sunni Tehreek (ST) were shot dead here in the limits of North Nazimabad police station. According to Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police two armed men came on motorbike and opened fire on four ST workers sitting beside the house of Joint Sector In-charge, Farhan Qadri.

Four including Sector In-charge Asif Qadri, Farhan Qadri, Sajid Qadri and Ahmed Qadri sustained injuries who were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Doctors pronounced the death of Asif and Farhan while others two were in critical condition.

It is pertinent to mention here that another activist of ST had been killed here on late Sunday night in the same manner. Three others including two MQM and one MQM-H worker had also been killed within couple of hours here on Sunday night.
