City Gove ordered to provide alternate plots to displaced residents

Karachi - - A division bench of Sindh High Court comprising Justice Muneeb Ahmed Khan & Justice Khwaja Naveed Ahmed Friday directed City District Government Karachi to provide alternate plots to displaced residents of Millat Colony Karachi.

Petitioner Haji Naseem along with 79 others moved SHC against displacement from their houses. He made Secretary Sindh Katchi Abadies Department, City Nazim Karachi, Pakistan Railways, District Officers Enforcement & Revenue CDGK, Chief Executive Cantonment Board Clifton respondents.

Advocate Shamshad Ali Qureshi submitted on behalf of petitioners that DO (Revenue) CDGK violating limits of cantonment board conducted demolition operation in Millat Colony Karachi on July 12, 2008 & razed many houses of residents.
