Sindh Government lifts arms license quota

He said that the MQM chief Altaf Hussain, who assumes himself as “King of Karachi,” should not underestimate the power of Talibans. “Taliban can conquer Karachi whenever they want and soon that moment will come,” he added.
On the other hand Altaf have been asked to their workers to be on alert to counter the Talibans in Karachi.
Source privy to the matter told The Nation that Provincial Police Officer Salahuddin Babar Khattak has made the police on high alert for indefinite time period. While an intelligence agency has said that there is a possibility of attacks in some sensitive places included Governor House, Chief Minister House and Civic Centre office of City Nazim Karachi and some other town offices of CDGK have also been declared sensitive.
War of words between the MQM and TTP has been going on since long while it is believed that the confrontation between the extremists and liberal forces would be possible in near future.
