'Q' still to recover from Feb 18 shock

By SYED INTIKHAB ALI July 12, 2008

KARACHI - The disintegration process in PML-Q is still going on despite the fact that, so far, the coalition government at national level could not deliver and failed to provide relief to the masses. Meanwhile, Kashmala Tariq, an outspoken MNA of the PML-Q, dropped a bombshell against the top leadership of her party and opened Pandora’s box, party sources admitted on Friday.

Kashmala Tariq is a third important women in the mainstream leadership of the party who either sharply criticised the party leadership or parted ways as senator Nilofar Bukhtiar established her forward block and former federal minister Zubaida Jalal stopped her support for the party.

At a time when PPP-led government has come under intense pressure due to various public issues including restoration of judiciary, price hike, deteriorating law and order situation, the PML-Q, the main opposition party in the country, not only failed to get any benefit of the situation but also still struggling for its survival.

The PML (Q) is passing through hot waters in all the four provinces since 18th Feb elections and its disintegration process from within is gaining momentum day by day.
