PPP govt believes in supremacy of law: Qaim
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER May 12, 2008 KARACHI - Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah Sunday said that the government of Pakistan Peoples Party believes in supremacy of law and restoration of democracy.
"We have made long struggle under the leadership of Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Quaid Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to achieve this target", this he said during a meeting with 36-member delegation of Sindh Bar Council, who called on him at CM House here.
He said that the Constitution of 1973 will be restored in its true spirit and fundamental rights of the people will be protected.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that he himself belongs to lawyers fraternity and the interests of the lawyers' bodies and Bar Associations will be guarded.
He said that all of us, particularly our martyred leader late Ms. Benazir Bhutto had presented many sacrifices, even she had sacrificed her life in struggle for democracy.
