Curbing terror must to cure economy: moot

KARACHI - Speakers at meeting of Shura Hamdard, Karachi chapter felt control of extremism and terrorism was required to attain national consensus and work for restoration of economy and political stability in the country.

The meeting was presided by Qutubuddin Aziz, former diplomat. Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan and Shura Hamdard Pakistan was also present.

Former ambassador Mahdi Masud said it was very essential to curb extremism and terrorism to attain political stability and economic progress. Innocent people even school girls were being killed in terrorist activities and suicide bombings. No religions and faiths endorsed these activities, he added.
