Nepotism, cronyism flourish in Sindh

KARACHI - Sindh government has named a lightweight provincial committee comprising of non-entities and non-related individuals having no credible financial background or experience to safeguard its interests in the NFC.

According to a notification issued here Saturday, the six members provincial committee on NFC smacks of favouritism and nepotism and has no real experts who can guide the Sindh members in the NFC to strongly plead the cause of the province.

Notification of the Sindh government issued on September 13 constituted the committee on provincial level to assist the members of NFC to prepare the case of Sindh.

The notification No-SO(C-IV) SGA&CD/4-45/08, issued by Services, General Administration & Coordination Department says, “The Sindh government is pleased to constitute a provincial Committee on National Finance Commission with following composition & TOR (Terms of Reference):-

Agha Siraj Durrani, Minister for Local Government, Sindh, Chairman with Syed Murad Ali Shah, Minister, Board of Revenue, Saifullah Dharejo, Minister for Irrigation & Power, Taj Haider, Ex-Senator, Syed Asad Ali Shah, former advisor to CM, Sindh for Finance, Nawaz Ali Leghari, former bureaucrat presently member Sindh Public Service Commission are members of the committee.
