CDGK reviews water shortage, sewerage problems

KARACHI (APP) - The City Nazim's representative for CDGK's Water and Sanitation department, Imamuddin Shahzad MPA, Wednesday visited Korangi Town and chaired a meeting held to discuss and solve water shortage amd smwerage problems.

The meeting was also attended by Provincial Minister Mohammed Afzal, MPAs Amir Moin, Alimur Rehman, Town and UC Nazims, Wcter and Sanitation Engineers and other concerned officials. Imamuddin directed the Water and Sanitation Engineer posted in Korangi Town to improve their working to help solve the Town's water shortage problem.

He described leakage in pipelines as a major cause of water shortage and directed that these should be immediately plugged to check water wastage and shortage as a result.

He called for effective action against illegal connections in the area and asked the Nazims and Councillors to ensure that reconnections are not allowed.
