Doctors subjected to torture in Karachi

Violent people beat doctors in civil hospital after the death of a man injured in traffic accident. After the incident, doctors and paramedical staff stopped discharging their responsibilities, however, they ended protest at the intervention of high officials. According to details, Shahnawaz, aged 35, was injured in a traffic accident in Nazimabad area and was brought to Abbasi Shaheed hospital where doctors referred him to civil hospital. Civil hospital Vascular Ward doctors termed it an orthopedic department case where doctors were on strike. The man who took Shahnawaz to civil hospital subjected duty officer Dr. Asif to torture. Meantime, the injured could not succumb to injuries.
