Shakaib acquitted in Murtaza murder case
By SHAFI BALOCH November 14, 2008 KARACHI - The Additional District and Sessions Judge (East) on Friday acquitted former SSP (Investigation) Shakaib Qureshi from Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case due to none-availability of evidence against him.
Justice Abdul Rehman Bhatti accepted the plea for acquitting the former police official after recording arguments from both the sides. The defense consul had submitted that four challans were presented before the court against the former police official without any evidence.
Shakaib was among accused involved in the murder case of slain head of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP-SB), Mir Murtaza Bhutto.
It will worth mentioning here that President Asif Ali Zardari was already acquitted in the said case.
