USA offers mobile power plant at Karachi

USA has offered Pakistan setting up a 200MW mobile power plant at the Karachi port. Sources said that this plant would be installed on a ship and could reach here from the US within few days. US Ambassador in Pakistan, N. W. Peterson and other US officials made this offer of setting up floating power plant in their recent meetings with the Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani, Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. Sources said that the USA was also keen to provide resources for the installation of further IPP and for the Azad Kashmir and other hydel projects.
