Transporters flay diesel price-hike

Karachi (PPI) - Karachi Transport Ittehad has shown deep concern on an increase of Rs3.50 per liter in diesel price and warned to go on strike after the Eidul Fitr if this rise in diesel price was not withdrawn by September 30. A meeting of the Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) was held here on Wednesday, with KTI President, Syed Irshad Hussain Shah Bukhari in the chair.

 In the meeting, transport leaders including Haji Muhammad Iqbal, Rauf Khan, Muhammad Saleem, Nirama Ahmed Khan, Sakhi Badshah, Iman Afridi, Tawab Khan, Mian Khan Rind, Chan Zaib Awan and Mazhar Shah condemned the government move of increasing the diesel prices.
