Fire damages plaza
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER November 18, 2008 KARACHI - A fire was erupted at Landmark Plaza on I.I. Chundrigar Road on Tuesday early morning, however no casualty was reported.
As per detail, the fire was erupted on the second floor of Landmark Plaza and destroyed the storeroom having huge quantity of computers, laptops, CPUs, printers and other accessories worth of Rs35 million as office manager Adnan quoted.
While, an official of the Fire Brigade Department told the media representatives that they were informed about the fire around 9am and six fire tenders were sent at the site. The smoke engulfed the whole building and many people had been trapped on different parts of the building. The fire brigade officials led by Chief Fire Officer Ehtisham ud Din reached the spot in order to control the situation and ultimately succeeded in both extinguishing the fire and evacuating three people trapped on the seventh floor.
