Riots as ST, MQM workers laid to rest

KARACHI - The riots erupted in Orangi Town and New Karachi areas on Saturday following the funeral ceremonies of ST and MQM workers who were killed on Friday. Four vehicles were burnt in Orangi police precincts, while the people resorted to aerial firing within the jurisdiction of New Karachi police station. The violence erupted owing to separate incidents of street crimes, said police.

As per detail, a worker of Sunni Tehreek (ST), Irfan, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday during treatment at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. He was shot injured by unknown culprits couple of days ago near his home, 11-E, New Karachi area.
