Pak students win award at Intel ISEF 2008

KARACHI - A group project titled "Novel Drug Therapy of Silver Nano Particles to Cure MRSA infections" by students from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karachi, Pakistan displayed at the Intel ISEF 2008 held at Atlanta, Georgia, USA won the First Award by tile American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
This was announced by the Society for Science & the Public, in partnership with the Intel Foundation at the Intel ISEF 2008 Special Awards Ceremony. The winning team of the project from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School comprised of Arif Pyarali, Zahra Suleman Tejani and Sara Moez Ali.
"Student winners are from ninth to twelfth graders who earned the right to compete by winning top prize at a local, regional, state or national science fairs. special Awards are presented by nearly 70 scientific, professional and educational organisations and include scholarships, Summer internships, book and equipment grants and scientific field trips", the statement further said.
The International Science and Engineering Fair is sponsored by Intel and has been administered by Society for science & the Public (SSP) since its inception in 1950.
