42,843 child abuse cases in nine years
November 19, 2008 Karachi (PPI) - As many as 42843 cases of child abuse were reported in Pakistan during last nine years, reports Madagaar helpline run by Lawyers for Human Rights & Legal Aid LHRLA.
Releasing the data on the occasion of Universal Children’s Day falling on November 20, the Madadgaar said 20013 boys and 22830 girls were subjected to violence during the period from January 2000 to November 2008.
