Courts boycotted for restoration of judges

KARACHI - The lawyers’ fraternity on Thursday continued their protest by staging weekly boycott of the legal proceedings for the restoration of the deposed judges.

They said that after the resignation of Musharraf, there was no hurdle in the reinstatement of deposed judges. The lawyers in City Court and Malir District Court observed complete boycott of the courts on the call of Supreme Court Bar Association. The lawyers took out joint rally from City Court Karachi to Karachi Press Club; the representatives of various political parties and members of civil society also accompanied them. The participants chanted slogans for their demands.
