City to have $300m desalination plant

The whole funding of the project is being managed by Aqualyng and the government and other concerned bodies of the government have facilitation role in the project. The plant is expected to bring the latest water-treatment technology to Karachi where the shortage of clean drinking water has become a matter of grave concern both for the populace of Karachi as well as government who is confronting with this menace for last many years.

The 50 mgd project is estimated to get completed in 18 months after being launched and it would further enhance the capacity gradually in further phases .The Company has already submitted a complete plan in this regard to city government as well as Karachi Water and Sewerage Board.
