Court grants physical remand of Khanani, Kalia

KARACHI - Judicial and Sessions Magistrate (South) on Friday, granted physical remand of accused Munaf Kalia and Javed Khanani, allegedly involved in financial scam, to FIA Karachi until November 26.
The accused, allegedly involved in transferring more than Rs38 billion aboard through ‘Hawala’ and ‘Hundi’, were presented in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Asif Ahmad, where Asmat Mehdi appeared before the court on behalf of FIA and requested a 14-day remand of Kalia and Khanani.
The court allowed the accused to be handed over to FIA till November 26 and directed the FIA to submit complete documents of the case in next hearing.
