Altaf asks Nawaz to desist from confrontation
By NISAR MEHDI August 25, 2008 KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has exhorted PML-N head Mian Nawaz Sharif to desist from the politics of confrontation that may lead the country to anarchy.
He urged the PML-N chief to support PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari adding that his wife former Prime Minister Ms Benazir Bhutto had sacrificed her life from the democracy and the party founder Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his both sons also sacrificed their lives for the country.
He expressed these views while addressing the MQM General Workers meeting held at party wing Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) office also listened at 19 others cities of the Sindh Province.
He appealed to Haq Parast Peoples of Punjab province to support Zardari as the presidential candidature of the country like the MQM, ANP and JUI-F.
He applauded the MQM Rabita Committee decision to support PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari as the President of Pakistan.
