Doctors save life of injured student
By SYED JAFAR ASKARI August 25, 2008 Dr Siddiqui assured the hospital staff and her family members that the government would afford all expenses of the hospital and said that the government would not leave the student and her family alone in this critical situation.
According to AKUH sources, the injured had undergone a serious head operation but her condition was not stable even after the operation, however she was under observation.
Giving her version on the issue, the college principal, Prof Rubina Hakim, said that this was not true that the college administration had shown negligence in terms of taking the injured to hospital. She said the incident was took place on Friday at 12 noon, while the injured student was taken to the hospital within ten minutes after the incident.
“Due to the official activities the college administration could not inform the director general colleges Sindh and the regional director colleges, while they will be informed today (Monday) through an official letter,” she added.
The principal maintained that Sana belongs to a well-off family and they faced no financial problem as far as hospital expenses were concerned. Commenting on the incident, she said that it would so early to declare that how she fell down from the building, as there was no eyewitness of the incident.
