Arms dealer held

KARACHI - Site Town Police on Tuesday arrested arms dealer for allegedly selling and issuing the illegal arm permits to the people and recovered weapons from his possession.
The man namely Sirajuddin was arrested from his arms shop 'Jumma Arms Shop' situated near at Quetta Star Hotel, Frontier Colony number 3, said SITE Town SP Ather Rasheed Butt. "We had information some days ago and the man was being traced as well," adding that following the information, he formed a police team headed by DSP Site Iqbal and SHO Peerabad Shahab and conducted raid at the shop.  Police recovered five Kalashnikovs and bullets. Siraj after initial interrogation has confessed that he carried the weapons from Darra (tribal area) and sell out in Karachi. The FIR according to 13-E arms ordinance has been registered against him on behalf of govt, the SP added.
