PPP and MQM at loggerheads over Finance Ministry
By NISAR MEHDI June 25, 2008 Syed Sardar Ahmed, who had also worked as the finance minister in the PML-Q and MQM coalition government in Sindh, took bold stance on the NFC award.
However, it was learnt the MQM, the second largest party in the province and the major coalition partner of the PPP with 51 members in Sindh Assembly, has demanded the slot of Senior Minister from the government as it has enjoyed this portfolio under the previous regime.
