SHC orders status quo in land occupation case

KARACHI (PPI) - Justice Ms Yasmin Abbasey of Sindh High Court Wednesday directed City District Government & private defendant to maintain status quo in respect of commercial/ industrial land in Gadap Town, Karachi.
Plaintiff Syed Shehzad Ali instituted lawsuit through Advocate Haleem Siddiqui, submitting he purchased three commercial/ industrial plots measuring 7599 square yards in Deh Manghopir, Gadap Town. A conveyance deed was duly executed in 2007. One, Captain Gabool allegedly encroached property.
SHC restrained defendants from interfering with entitlement of plaintiff over land in question & appointed its Nazir for final determination, but respondent tried to dispossess plaintiff in violation of court order. Counsel prayed to restrain defendants from dispossessing his client.
Justice Yasmin Abbassey issued notice to EDO Revenue, DDO Revenue New Karachi, TPO Gadap Town, SHO Manghopir & private defendants for July 15, 2009. Meanwhile, parties are directed to maintain status quo till next date.
