Accused lawyers remanded in gangrape case

KARACHI - The Judicial and Sessions Magistrate on Monday remanded two lawyers, Nayyar and Kokab, till December 6 for their alleged involvement in gang-raping a teenager Sana, 19, who was recently converted to Islam along with her sister.
Earlier, the police have presented both the accused before the court of the Magistrate Inamulla Koloro, where the victim Sana recognised them as guiltier. The court after submitting her statement has also issued directives for the DNA test and ordered to submit the test report in the next hearing.
The prosecution has submitted before the court that the victim along with her sister Tayyaba aged 16 were brought to the flat located in Tariq Road within the jurisdiction of Ferozeabad police station by the accused where they raped her one-by-one.
Earlier, both the sisters have recorded their statements before the police that the said lawyers were involved in this heinous crime.
According to the reports, both the sisters had left their Gujranwala home reportedly to embrace Islam. The ages of accused lawyers are 55 and 53 respectively and are married.
