Three students, watchman killed in varsity firing
August 27, 2008 According to KU Campus Officer Dr Khalid Iraqi, the heavy firing continued for nearly 20 or 30 minutes between the said groups, leaving three students dead and more than 6 injured.
Meanwhile, Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, has expressed grief over the killing of four persons, including three students, and injuries to some others in Karachi University on Tuesday and issued directive to concerned authorities to bring the accused to book immediately.
Receiving the information about the incident, PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari contacted Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and expressed condolence over the death of a student.
Taking strict notice of the situation, the Governor directed the police and Rangers to bring the terrorist elements to book by all means. He made it clear that peace and academic environment of educational institutions will not be allowed to be marred.
The Governor prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for departed soul and grant of patience to the bereaved families.
