Public facing prolonged power cuts, water shortage

The emergency wards of the said hospitals also failed to provide smooth service due to interrupted power supply and people who are brought to hospital in critical condition couldn't get proper treatment which causing lost of precious life.

Moreover, massive load shedding also affected water supply in the areas and majority of the localities have been deprived of water.

Junaid Iqbal, a clerk in a CDGK told that lengthened power outage not only affected the daily routine life but also putting negative impact on the performances of the employees.

He added that midnight load shedding creating irritation among the people because whole they day people yawing in the office as they were spending sleepless night.

The water shortage with power outage also a cause of anger among the staffers because when people awake after sleepless night they couldn't find water which result delay in reaching office, Iqbal added.

The alarming condition of power shortage has also affected business activities and prolonged load shedding severely damaged the industrial area performance and business community suffering with heavy losses.

The residents of various localities have complaint about power outage of 8 to 9 hours long and also complaint sleepless night. The power breakdowns captured various areas including Gulshan-e- Iqbal, Landhi, Korangi, Azam Basti, Mehmoodabad, Defence, Baldia, Shah Faisal Colony, FC Area, FB Area, Water Pump, Jamshed Road, Alexander Road, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Malir, Malir Cantt. and Model Colony.
