Security govt's top priority

Referring to a report of a private TV channel, he said that by moving a truck through the city roads, it could not be claimed that there was no security in the city. He pointed out that there has been zero policing in Sindh during the last 11 years but now there was 100 per cent policing in the province and in metropolis.

Dr. Mirza asked the people not to be perturbed over the security issue as long as he was here. He further said that he has plainly told the police that they have no political role to play but to provide security of life and property to innocent people. He said that he wanted results and in this regard he had suspended 11 police officers during the last two months.  “We are all prepared to deal with network of terrorists”, he said, adding that he was trying his level best to bring improvement in the police performance. But, he said, the way the media reported the events only create negative impression among the general public.
