August 29, 2008

KARACHI (APP) - Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that if economy of the country is to be saved then immediate attention be paid on power issue in Karachi as now no hope has left with KESC management.

In an appeal, on behalf of people of Karachi, to PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, the Prime Minister, and Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh the Nazim Karachi said that as per his information, KESC has shut down its power plants and is depending on cheaper WAPDA’s electric supply.

Talking to media in his office, he said that because of rising fuel cost, KESC gets cheaper electricity from WAPDA as against its own power generation and is earning profits while putting the citizens into hell.
