Nazim asks Zardari, PM to resolve power crisis
August 29, 2008 “If we had any say in KESC, we would have solved the citizen’s problems by working day and night”.
Replying a question, the Nazim said that people can resort to a respectful option of stopping paying electric bills and the situation can aggravate further because 18 million people of Karachi are living in an agonised state.
He recalled that in city’s interest, City Government abandoned millions of rupees dues against KESC and let it cut its newly constructed road, but KESC continues to narrate the same story it is harping upon for the last 30 years.
Mustafa Kamal said KESC is not making an investment of even one rupees and now had no hope from them. In his appeal Nazim said that there is need to work on war footing to solve the power problem and if Pakistan’s economy is to be saved, them same kind of efforts will have to be made as were done for impeachment. “Whatever the Government has to do, it should be dome immediately and take the Karachiites out from hell”.
