Mustafa Kamal spells out uplift work

Karachi - City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that the Haq Parasts had been given only 3 or 4 years in the government offices during their 30-year long struggle. Despite that our 3-year performance has been acknowledged all over the world that has given a loud message that only the youths from middle class can change the fate of the nation.
He expressed these views while addressing a reception hosted in his honor by City Naib Nazim Ms. Nasreen Jalil and City Council members on his inclusion among the three best mayors of the world.
Earlier, City Naib Nazim and leader of the city council Asif Siddiqui addressed the reception which was also attended by the foreign delegates, industrialists, business and trading community, town & union nazims and members of the city council Karachi.
Nazim Karachi said every government has tried to curb the local government system in Pakistan. Some through legal amendments, some by smashing the system while some others by withholding funds but we want to clear this that if the withholding of city government’s funds do not stop then Karachi which has the capacity to support whole country, would collect so much funds from Karachiites while begging for the city, that would be enough not only for ourselves but also to lend it to others.
