'Robber', passer-by killed in encounter
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER October 28, 2008 KARACHI - A robber was killed and his accomplice injured in an exchange of fire with the police near Coast Guards Headquarter on Tuesday morning. In wake of cross fire, a rickshaw driver also died when a bullet hit him while he was passing from the area.
According to police sources the two robbers, in their young age, robbed a person coming out of a bank near Islamia College at new MA Jinnah Road in Preedy police precincts and deprived him of his cash and mobile phone and escaped on a motorcycle.
