SA in unison to build summer resort in Sindh

Appreciating the bill, Sindh Minister for Information Shazia Marri said that PPP government had done a lot for the development of the country and the province and for the welfare of people. She said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had initiated work on Thar Coal by establishing Thar Coal Authority but after PPP government no work was done in the coal sector. Now the PPP government set up Thar Coal and Energy Board to exploit the God gifted resource for the development of the country and the province.

She said that tourism was necessary for development of economy and hoped that foreign investments would be attracted when the development starts taking place at the Gorakh Hill Station and said the project there would create huge number of employment opportunity for the local people of the area.

She said Sindh was bestowed with picturesque hilly resort, beautiful lakes like Manchhar and Keenjhar, historic place of Moen Jo Daro.

She was confident that government would work for development and beautification of natural recreational spots which on the one hand attract tourists and investors while on the other create job opportunities.

Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Jam Madad Ali, while supporting the bill, said that it was a good step for development of province. He said that Sindh was blessed with lot of natural resources and if attention was paid on these God gifted things the province would become prosperous.

MQM Parliamentary leader Sardar Ahmed said that work on Gorakh Hill was initiated in 1952 but with snail space. He suggested that both coalition and opposition members may be included in committee.

Sindh Ministers Murad Ali Shah, Rafique Engineer, Rauf Siddiqui, PPP legislators Jam Tamachi, Anwar Mehar, Irman Leghari and MQM member Her Soho, appreciated the bill and termed it in accordance with the wishes of people.
