Sadequain awards from September 1

Every year the artists’ community participated in the awards competition across the country. Young and emerging painters from all the provinces send their two paintings or calligraphy to participate in the competition.

A five-member judgement committee comprising renowned artists and critics select the winner of the competition. The committee comprises artists like Mashkoor Raza, Jimmy Engineer, Ustad Abdul Rauf, Marjorie Hussain and Shakeel Ismail.

They said that the committee had given its judgement about the participants which is confidential and would be made public on September 1. The awards ceremony is a one-day event but the exhibition of the participating paintings would be continued till September 3.
