Malik sees foreign hand in tribal areas unrest

About presidential election, he said Asif Zardari was the symbol of federation, and hence the most suitable candidate for the office of President.
He said Zardari saved the federation after the assassination of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto when anti-federation sentiments were high in the province of Sindh.
To a question about re-appointment of deposed judges of Sindh and Lahore high courts, he said that some judges had themselves desired to be reinstated and they have been re-appointed. He said the Constitution was silent about restoration of deposed judges through an executive order.
Speaking on the occasion, JI Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed held former president Pervez Musharraf responsible for current volatile situation in the tribal areas. He also blamed the present Government for the sorry state of affairs in the country, saying it was also continuing with the policies initiated by the former president.
